Another day, another load of internet posts. It's slightly fustrating having to wait for my posts to go up because it means I cant get on with this blog, but hey ho, whilst im waiting for most posts to go live I thought I'd quickly fill you in with the rest of my life currently. So here goes:
Well for the past 5 weeks I have been living out of my suitcase and sleeping on a sofa, which I'm very gratefull for but it doesn't half tire you out. I never feel settled and I'm always on the go. I'm excited to get home on saturday and sleep in my own bed! Living in London has been fun though, theres so much going on all the time! Suprisingly I've been really good with my money as well, since I'm going to New York I've had to be. That brings me on to my next point NEW YORK! I'm far too excited to go! After turning 21 a couple of weeks ago, its going to be i-n-c-r-e-d-i-b-l-e!
Anyway, back to work experience. A few days ago one of the girls did a blog on the girls from the show "the city", well i have always and will remain to be a fan of "the Hills" so I decided to do a look based around this. Conviently Lauren Conrad had announced she was hoping to show at New York fashion week, so this gave my a good angle:

Then as i was casually trawling the internet (window shopping obviously) I found the list on Matches of the best items under £100. This seemed like a good idea for a blog post, design fashion at rock bottom prices. There were some really lovely things on it:

I did a megan fox make-up look as well but it's not currently up so I will mention it in tomorrows blog.

Hi!
As I said in my last couple of blogs, these are a bit confusing due to my online posts not going up every day, but i will try my best!
Well i began the day by looking at the current trends around at the moment and one of the main trends I found was the 1920's look (very fitting with my textile project). There's a new programme on TV called Boardwalk Empire and gangsters and fabulous women in 1920's Atlantic city, this is what I belive to be the cause of the fashion revival. I did a high-street look based on the 1920's and found some gorgeous items!! Here it is:

The second look I did was a valentines ligerie look. I worked with lingerie for 2 years part time before uni so it was really nice to have a good look through all the sites and find some gems! Here's the post:

To round off the day I wanted to do a beauty buy. I am a MASSIVE beauty geek and I love cosmetics, lotions and potions so doing beauty posts is one of my favourite things! This time I chose one of my favourite Benefit pallets: Primpcess. Aside from the amazing name, it's full of little tools to make your eyes sparkle! I Love the Benefit compacts because they give you the chance to try out all the products for a lot less of the price and then you can buy the bigger products on your own judgment. Here's the post:

I'm trying to be a lot better with this blog and get some post's in before I finish my placement on friday!

Monday 31st Jan
I have become completely lost with all my posts, as they're not going out each day, so I'm going to start from now with the posts from last friday up till when I finish on friday.
Asos have just released their spring line and with it a lovely 20% offer (which yes I have been taking advantage of, very naughty indeed). As I've been reaping it's benefits I thought I'd share it with the styloko world:

Another beautiful sale to have graced the internet recently is the 70% off ChloƩ at the Outnet. It. Is. Gorgeous. So far out my price range but at least I can look, blog and dream!

So thats where I'm upto now, will write again tomorrow.

It's been so hard keeping up to date with this blog, im so busy!!!
Also, now the posts arent going up as regularly as before due to the amount of interns in the Styloko office, so It's a bit hearder for me to keep updating this site.
This week I took a brief glance at Bright Young Things, the feature by selfridges showcasing new design tallent. I found some really amazing designers to use with in my own work. The two I chose to look at were Kei Kagami and Simone Rocha (daughter of John Rocha).
Here are both my posts on this:

I also did a review of upto the mid-week Couture shows, my favourites were Dior, Givenchy and Bouchra Jarrar. Heres the post i did on this:

I will continue to update this this week!

Week starting the 24th
Hello again!
I thought i'd post this in 2 blogs since I've done A LOT of blogging.
So i came back from the weekend with some kind of devil flu, I had a high temperature, swollen throat and blocked nose, not nice at all! But still I remained to blog, even when I was sent home from home. That's one of the great advantages with my placement it's work I can do at home as well.
The first post I did was a shoe post. This one was horrible for me to do because I just wanted to go out and buy them all! Including the coolest pair of uggs I've ever seen! Here it is:
http://www.styloko.com/buzz/shoes-shoes-shoes/
The second blog I did was about print. Prints are once again huge, with everything from aztec to animal. These were my top picks:
http://www.styloko.com/buzz/trending-prints/
The blog I did after being sent home was on block colour, another blog in which I wanted everything on! Here it is:
http://www.styloko.com/buzz/block-that-colour/
So now you're all caught up to tuseday, I will blog about tomorrow and today and all the remaining days. Pinky swear!
p.s here's a blog i left off from last week:

Ok so it's 10 days since my last blog...
...and I'm REALLY sorry for not keeping more on top of things.
Life has just been massivly busy! So i will cram in 10 days of blogs into one.
To start off with the day after my last post was infact my 21st birthday, so I do have a sort of excuse for being too busy to blog last week.
Anyway, my birthday was lovely and quiet (on the weds at least) in which I came to work, did some posts and was bought a cake from the Hummingbird bakery, it was delish! The cake was called Red Velvet and is apparently infamous. I also got a lovely card!
Ok so the blogs I chose to do that day were about rentable fashion, 1 shirt 3 looks and Rachel Zoe.
Rentable fashion has been a huge hit ever since it was mentioned on Sex and the City the movie, with Jennifer Hudson refering to "Bag, Borrow, Steal" as "Netflicks for purses". So with this in mind I set about finding the best online rentable pieces. Mostly they were dresses and bags (ioncluding the Mulberry Alexa!). Here's the post:
http://www.styloko.com/buzz/rentable-fashion/
The second, 1 shirt 3 looks, is pretty straight forward. It was a gorgeous sheer shirt and the ways that I would dress it up for work, drinks or a date. Here it is:
http://www.styloko.com/buzz/1-shirt-3-looks/
The last was a Rachel Zoe look. She is without a doubt a huge style icon with in Hollywood and she has dressed the best of the best. Here is my take on her glitzy boho style:

The next couple of days Khaled let me have off to attend a couple of job interviews I had been offered, as I'm in desperate need of part time, London is so expensive!

18th jan
Ok so first here's the Nicki Minaj post from yesterday:
http://www.styloko.com/buzz/style-watch-nicki-minaj/
Today has been a much better day than yesterday! First and formost i didn't get drenched on the way to work and the sun has been out! Yay!!
Over the past week and a bit I'v been doing so many blogs its becoming more difficult to come up with fresh ideas, so I went back to the magazines and decided to do a blog on a pretty much permenant feature in most of the glossies. The one item with different looks attached to it. I chose a sheer shirt, as they are really in at the moment, and styled in with workwear, a cocktail outfit and a date-night outfit. All very wearable and cute looks. (this isn't up yet so I will link this tomorrow)
My favourite post I've done today though is a blog and lookbook for Rentable Fashion. This is a fairly new concept in the UK and I think it's one that will take off more and more as people dont have the money to buy designer dresses and clothes for special occasions. On these sites you can rent dresses for a week and bags for a month, which with the fast pace of fashion, is all you want a statement piece for. Khaled responded really well to the piece and said it was an original idea, so I'm really proud of that. Here's the post:
http://www.styloko.com/buzz/rentable-fashion/
London really is incredible, I love everything about it, it's noise, colours and atmostphere. I'm going to be seeing a lot more of the nightlife this week as tomorrow is my 21st birthday!!! Khaled has kindly given me friday off so I can have a really good time on thursday night.
Life's really good at the moment!
